To strengthen the intellectual property (IP) protection of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, further enhance their awareness and capacity in IP protection, and promote the healthy development of cross-border e-commerce, CCPITs and Chambers of International Commerce in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, as well as CCPITs and Chambers of International Commerce in Shenyang, Fuzhou, and Qingdao, joined hands with the Beijing Association for Trade in Services to hold an online training titled “IP Protection and Complaint Handling in Cross-border E-commerce.” The training session was live streamed on the WeChat Channel of the China Chamber of International Commerce and was attended by more than 1,400 representatives from the hosts, co-hosts, relevant business associations, and enterprises both in and outside Beijing.

Gu Ping, an equity partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm, provided an in-depth explanation of the current situation regarding rights protection overseas for e-commerce enterprises. She discussed how to respond when complaints are raised and products are removed from shelves, as well as strategies for rights holders to protect their rights. This guidance helped cross-border e-commerce enterprises enhance their ability to control and prevent IP risks, maintain fair market order, and accelerate their steps to “go global”.
