On the afternoon of April 17, Guo Huaigang, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, met with Ms. Jia Zhenhua, Director of the China Office of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), and the two sides exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, and representatives from the Department of International Exhibition of CCPIT Beijing.
Guo Huaigang introduced how CCPIT Beijing promotes the development of international MICE and facilitates the development of Beijing into an international consumption center city. He expressed his pleasure at meeting with Ms. Jia again after their last encounter at the 18th China Expo Forum for International Cooperation (CEFCO) last year. He hoped to strengthen and deepen cooperation with IAEE in MICE personnel training, information exchanges, MICE resource matchmaking, and services for member enterprises. Guo stated that CCPIT Beijing would like to support the development of international organizations such as IAEE in Beijing.
Jia Zhenhua introduced the latest developments in international MICE and IAEE’s work plan for this year. She looked forward to strengthening cooperation with CCPIT Beijing in sharing MICE resources, organizing enterprises to go abroad, conducting MICE research, and providing personnel training. She also welcomed CCPIT Beijing to attend the annual meeting of IAEE to be held in the United States in November this year.
Organized in 1928 as the National Association of Exposition Managers, IAEE, headquartered in Dallas, is committed to promoting the MICE development through training, meetings, research, publications, and information dissemination. It now has more than 13,000 members. In 2006, CCPIT joined the IAEE as a “group member”.
