On the morning of April 8, Guo Huaigang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, visited the 35th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air-conditioning, Heating and Ventilation, Frozen Food Processing, Packaging and Storage (hereinafter referred to as China Refrigeration Expo 2024) held at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). He attended the opening ceremony, and communicated with exhibitors.
During his visit, Guo Huaigang had an in-depth exchange of views with experts and scholars, including Jiang Yi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Tsinghua University Building Energy Conservation Research Center, and Chairman of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration; Li Jiang, President of China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association; and Liang Jie, General Manager of Beijing North Star. They focused on strategies to develop a high-quality China Refrigeration Expo, continuously enhance the business environment for Beijing exhibitions, and contribute to building an international consumption center city.
China Refrigeration Expo, established in 1987 by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association and CCPIT Beijing, stands as the world's largest professional exhibition in the refrigeration and HVAC industry. Held alternately in Beijing and Shanghai annually, the expo has forged partnerships with over 50 international trade organizations worldwide. With the theme “More Digital Intelligence and Emerging Tracks for Win-win Growth”, China Refrigeration Expo 2024 spanned an exhibition area of 106,800 square meters, attracting 1,006 enterprises and institutions from 27 countries and regions. It brought together renowned global brands in the refrigeration and HVAC industry, with 36 international organizations and professional institutes participating, including the United Nations Environment Programme, the International Institute of Refrigeration and the Air conditioning and Refrigeration European Association (AREA). Additionally, 215 well-known foreign enterprises such as Honeywell, Danfoss and Wilo were present. The foreign exhibitors account for 20% of the total. The Expo unveiled a number of new products and technologies, such as transcritical carbon dioxide heat pump system for electric vehicles and efficient energy storage of liquid hydrogen, and hosted over 70 technical activities. With its internationalized, professional and market-oriented features, the Expo serves as a driving force for the development of comprehensive exhibitions, promotes the deep integration of exhibitions with business and cultural tourism, and facilitates Beijing’s efforts to become an international consumption center city.
The visit was also attended by Zhu Jialiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, along with other representatives from CCPIT Beijing and Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd.
