On March 15, Zhu Jialiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, visited Beijing International Studies University (BISU), and engaged in a discussion with Cheng Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and Vice President of BISU.
Cheng Wei introduced the history of BISU and the characteristics and advantages of its academic disciplines. She particularly emphasized the recent development of disciplines and scientific research efforts that support the national strategies and the capital development. She hoped to enhance the cooperation with CCPIT Beijing in areas such as talent training, voluntary service, and regional and country studies.
Zhu Jialiang acknowledged the substantial potential for cooperation between the two institutions, given the unique advantages of BISU’s disciplines and the shared foreign-related characteristics with CCPIT Beijing. He hoped that both sides would deepen the exchange of talents, collaborate in serving enterprises, jointly promote the establishment of international economic and trade think tanks, and continue to provide talent and intellectual support for the development of Beijing's foreign economic and trade industries, to facilitate the high-level opening up and high-quality development of the capital.
The meeting was attended by colleagues from the Conference Affairs Department of CCPIT Beijing and the School of Economics of BISU.
