On the morning of January 29, CCPIT Beijing Chairman Guo Huaigang and Safran China CEO Remi Paul visited the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone, and had a discussion with Zhang Hua, Director of the Joint Management Committee of the Airport Economic Zone. The three parties exchanged views on further deepening the cooperation.
Initially, CCPIT Beijing and Safran toured the comprehensive bonded zone within the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone. They conducted an investigation on the zone’s construction and development plans, gaining insight into the policy and location advantages brought by the convergence of three zones: the airport economic zone, the comprehensive bonded zone and the free trade zone.
Subsequently, a symposium was convened at the Joint Management Committee of the Airport Economic Zone. Zhang Hua introduced the functional positioning and business activities of each sector within the airport economic zone, with a focus on policies and initiatives supporting aviation industry development. Zhang also elucidated innovative models such as “integration of the airport and the comprehensive bonded zone” and “bonded+”, inviting Safran to actively explore future cooperation opportunities with the airport economic area.
Remi Paul expressed Safran's increasing closeness to Beijing through its participation in Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing in 2023. Safran China finds the locational and policy advantages of the airport economic zone in the aviation industry particularly appealing, and is keen to discuss cooperation opportunities in green aviation and low-altitude economy with the airport economic zone.
Guo Huaigang emphasized CCPIT Beijing's role as the Secretariat of the Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing, highlighting its dedication to serving the development of multinational enterprises in Beijing and the capital’s high-quality development, including the airport economic zone. Recognizing the importance of the airport economic zone as the new engine for the capital’s high-quality development, Guo believes that the airport economic zone and Safran, as an internationally renowned leader in the aviation industry, are highly compatible, with vast prospects for cooperation. CCPIT Beijing will further improve its services, acting as a bridge for exchanges and cooperation among various districts, economic development zones, industrial parks, functional zones and multinational enterprises.
The visit was also joined by Man Qunjie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Daxing Management Committee of the Airport Economic Zone, and Chen Gang, Deputy Director of the Joint Management Committee.
