On the afternoon of August 25th, the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing convened a thematic democratic life seminar for leadership team to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as part of the thematic education. The event adhered to the relevant requirements set forth by the Discipline Inspection Commission, the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee, and the leading group for thematic education. Under the theme of “Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, the seminar focused on six key areas and specifically emphasized the 12 requirements outlined by General Secretary Xi Jinping. These requirements encompassed integrating learning to strengthen character, enhance intelligence, foster integrity, and promote effective work. Considering the practical aspects of trade promotion in Beijing, the seminar conducted a comprehensive self-assessment, analyzed the underlying ideological factors, and engaged in earnest criticism and self-critique. In response, the seminar proposed improvement measures and outlined future directions. Comrade Feng Jianguo, the deputy leader of the Sixth Itinerant Guidance Group for thematic education, attended the seminar to provide guidance and offer feedback on its proceedings. Additionally, representatives from the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervisory Commission, stationed at the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, were also in attendance. Guo Huaigang, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing chaired the seminar, which was attended by all leadership team members of CCPIT Beijing.
The Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing placed significant importance on the effect of the thematic seminar. Prior to the event, they formulated work plans and conducted thorough theoretical studies. This process further unified their thinking, deepened their understanding, and strengthened their ideological foundation. Centering on the theme, they engaged in meaningful heart-to-heart discussions, diligently identified and examined issues, and prepared relevant materials for self-assessment, ensuring thorough preparation for the seminar. During the seminar, Comrade Guo Huaigang reported on the progress of rectification of the democratic life seminar for the year 2022 on behalf of the CCPIT Beijing leadership. He also conducted a self-assessment on behalf of the team. Led by example, each member of the leadership team followed suit, conducting their own candid self-assessments, directly addressing the theme with sincerity. They openly acknowledged their own shortcomings and engaged in self-criticism without reservation. When offering constructive criticism to their comrades, they did so with fairness and a strong sense of responsibility, emphasizing comprehensive observation and contemplation when dealing with people, situations, and ideas.
This democratic life seminar has successfully achieved its objectives, including unifying thinking, fostering unity, aiding comrades, and collectively enhancing our capabilities. It has propelled the members of the leadership team to deepen their understanding and further promote the practical application of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Beijing's trade promotion endeavors. During the seminar, particular emphasis was placed on the profound significance of the “Two Establishes”, strengthening the “Four Awarenesses”, bolstering the “Four Matters of Confidence,” and committing to the “Two Upholds.” This seminar has not only reinforced our unity and solidarity but has also paved the way for tangible results in the field of trade promotion.
The seminar emphasized the need for continuous reinforcement of theoretical knowledge within CCPIT Beijing. It stressed the importance of a comprehensive, systematic, and in-depth study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Members were encouraged to become steadfast believers, active promoters, and faithful practitioners of this ideology. It was further emphasized that the organization should constantly strive to cultivate Party spirit, enhance loyalty, and develop a strong political consciousness, ideological consciousness, and sense of responsibility in upholding and supporting the core leadership. The seminar highlighted the commitment to drive development through practical actions and responsibilities. It emphasized the significance of embracing the “greater national interests” and firmly establishing and implementing correct views on power, political achievements, and careers. CCPIT Beijing must closely align itself with the central tasks of the new era and embark on this new journey with the development of the capital as its guiding principle. Additionally, CCPIT Beijing should consistently uphold integrity and a commitment to public service, fostering a new culture of clean and ethical conduct. It must make further efforts to exercise full and rigorous governance over the Party, strengthening awareness of discipline and rules, and continuously creating a positive political environment characterized by integrity and moral uprightness.
