Guo Huaigang, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, met with Waleed Al Orainan, Assistant Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), and his delegation on the morning of August 17, and the two exchanged views on further implementing the outcomes of Beijing delegation’s visit to Saudi Arabia and strengthening friendly cooperation. The meeting was joined by Wu Lanlan, Vice Chairwoman of CCPIT Beijing, Murray, Deputy Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Beijing, Abdul Khaleq, Public Relations Manager of CSC, Mohammed, an expert of CSC, and Pan Feng, Executive Director of Ajlan & Bros Holding.
Guo Huaigang extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the work of CCPIT Beijing in international trade and investment promotion, international commercial law services and international MICE promotion in the new era. He said that witnessed by the government leaders of both sides, CCPIT Beijing and the Council of Saudi Chambers, now the rotating chairman of Saudi Chinese Business Council, signed a friendly cooperation agreement in May this year to jointly promote the interaction between the governments and business circles of the two sides, which lays a solid foundation for pragmatic two-way investment and trade cooperation. He believed that the cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia is promising, hoping that Saudi enterprises will actively invest in the competitive industries and large-scale projects in Beijing such as science and technology, transportation and digital economy based on the relevant information and services provided by CCPIT Beijing. Guo also invited members of CSC, and representatives of sovereign wealth funds and enterprises to attend Beijing-Middle East investment and trade promotion conference to be held during 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services, where they can discuss business with Chinese enterprises.
Mr. Waleed Al Orainan thanked CCPIT Beijing for its strong support to exchanges and cooperation between enterprises of both sides and to the visit to Beijing by the Saudi Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing. He said that as the most influential corporate spokesperson in Saudi Arabia, CSC has set up 32 national committees under it and established 31 joint chambers of commerce with international partners. He expressed his willingness to promote Saudi enterprises and sovereign wealth funds to visit and invest in Beijing through the enhanced communication and cooperation with CCPIT Beijing and participate in the Beijing-Middle East investment and trade promotion conference.
