CCPIT Beijing Chairman Guo Huaigang Meets with Safran China CEO Remi Paul

Guo Huaigang, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, met with Safran China CEO Remi Paul on the morning of August 1, and the two exchanged views on giving full play to the mechanism of the Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing and further deepening cooperation and exchanges.

Guo Huaigang gave an overview on the Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing, welcomed Safran to join the mechanism, and congratulated Ross McInnes, Chairman of the Board of Safran, for becoming an adviser under this mechanism. He said that Beijing highly valued Safran’s important position in the aviation industry, hoping that Ross McInnes will further care about and support Beijing’s development and opening up as an envoy of friendly exchanges between China and France. Guo also pointed out that Beijing is vigorously developing the aviation industry and promoting the construction of the airport economic zone based on its two airports, hoping that Safran will give full play to its advantages, put forward valuable suggestions for Beijing’s development in related fields, and continuously expand investment and cooperation, to contribute to Beijing’s efforts in building an economic cluster for aviation manufacturing and for headquarters of service enterprises and taking a lead in high-quality development and opening up. As the Secretariat of the Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing, CCPIT Beijing will actively provide facilitation and support for Safran in its efforts to strengthen exchanges with the government and business partners in Beijing and expand the business.

On behalf of Safran and Chairman Ross McInnes, Remi Paul thanked Beijing for making it a member of the Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing. He said that Safran attaches great importance to the Chinese market, which accounts for 20% of Safran’s global business and boasts promising prospects for cooperation in new equipment sales and maintenance. Since the entry into the Chinese market over 40 years ago, Safran has established extensive partnerships with civil aviation authorities and major aviation enterprises, and actively participated in major projects. He noted that Safran China will take root in Beijing and work together with partners to promote aviation technology cooperation and industrial development.
