Tang Haijiao, member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, led a team to conduct investigations and exchanges in Xicheng District on the afternoon of July 20, to gain a deeper understanding of the construction of trade promotion agencies, the development of trade promotion activities, and the challenges encountered at work. The visit is part of an initiative to promote the implementation of a themed education campaign, enhance exchange and cooperation among municipal and district trade promotion agencies, and support international business operations and regional development of enterprises. The meeting was chaired by Zeng Linfeng, a member of the Standing Committee and Deputy District Mayor of Xicheng District, and attended by relevant officials from the Xicheng District Bureau of Commerce.
During the meeting, Xicheng District Bureau of Commerce provided a briefing on the trade promotion agencies and their recent work progress. Both parties engaged in discussions to enhance the construction of these agencies and explored ways to organize high-level economic and trade events, develop high-quality information products, and promote trade and investment. Zeng Linfeng acknowledged that CCPIT Beijing has provided significant support and assistance to Xicheng District in areas such as economic and trade training, international resource sharing, and organizing major events in recent years. The two parties have continually strengthened their collaboration to foster development. He also expressed the hope that CCPIT Beijing would continue to increase its support for Xicheng District, particularly in introducing international exhibitions and prganizations and multinational companies expanding international cooperation channels, and enhancing the abilities and expertise of grassroots trade promotion officials. These efforts would further enhance Xicheng District’s international presence.
In response, Tang Haijiao expressed gratitude for the strong support Xicheng District has offered to CCPIT Beijing's work. He also introduced the overall development of trade promotion work in the city, as well as plans and key tasks for CCPIT Beijing in 2023. Tang Haijiao hoped that Xicheng District would pay attention to and actively participate in upcoming events, such as the China-LAC Business Summit, the special session of the China International Fair for Trade in Services, the China International Supply Chain Expo, and the 28th Macao International Trade & Investment Fair. He also encouraged cooperation in areas such as the development of the "Two Zones" (Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone), investment promotion, economic and trade information exchange, delegation visits, and services for foreign-funded enterprises. Tang Haijiao noted that CCPIT Beijing will continue to align its efforts with the development needs of Xicheng District, increase the level of resource integration, and provide more support, to assist Xicheng District in promoting high-quality development through high-level openness.
