On July 3 and 4, Wu Lanlan, Vice Chairwoman of CCPIT Beijing, held individual working meetings with representatives from the Chinese Business Council in UAE (CBC), the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), and the Saudi-Chinese Business Council Beijing Office. The purpose of the meetings was to exchange views aimed at enhancing pragmatic cooperation with the respective organizations.
Wu Lanlan expressed her gratitude for the strong support received from the three organizations during the CCPIT Beijing delegation's visit to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. She emphasized the importance of deepening interactions in various areas, such as corporate training, study tours, and event hosting, to better serve bilateral governments and businesses and promote two-way trade and investment cooperation. Furthermore, she announced that CCPIT Beijing plans to host the Middle East Trade and Investment Promotion Conference during the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). She warmly welcomed the three organizations to encourage their local companies to participate in the conference in Beijing.
Si Junjie, Chief Representative of CBC in China, provided an overview of CBC's business operations in China. He stated that CBC intends to establish a representative office in Beijing and is committed to strengthening friendly exchanges with CCPIT Beijing, and will participate actively in relevant events held in Beijing.
Ping Ping, Chief Representative of ADIO in China, outlined the main functions and roles of ADIO in China, as well as the investment areas of key interest for the Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund. She also expressed an eagerness to participate actively in the upcoming Middle East Trade and Investment Promotion Conference, and hoped to continue promoting economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two regions with the support and collaboration of CCPIT Beijing in the future.
The representative of the Saudi-Chinese Business Council expressed full support for the 2023 CIFTIS and the Middle East Trade and Investment Promotion Conference as the first friendly business council of CCPIT Beijing in Saudi Arabia. They intend to continue collaborating with CCPIT Beijing to organize more events in the future, providing a platform for communication and cooperation between enterprises from both countries.
