Guo Huaigang, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, attended the Symposium on Trade and Investment to Foster Collaborative Development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region held in Tianjin on June 29, where he signed the Action Plan for Promoting Collaborative Development of Trade and Investment in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. The following day, he participated in a series of activities, including the “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei International Investment and Trade Fair.”

During the symposium, Guo Huaigang exchanged views on the main practices and key highlights of CCPIT Beijing in carrying out a thematic education campaign on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He emphasized that CCPIT Beijing had studied and implemented the spirits of important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the principles of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee’s plenary session. Furthermore, CCPIT Beijing has formulated the Implementation Plan for CCPIT Beijing to Promote In-depth Coordination and Development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, which outlines 18 measures in five areas. These areas include expanding channels, establishing platforms, advocating for businesses, implementing economic and trade early warning systems, and improving mechanisms. To achieve its goals, CCPIT Beijing will remain committed to maintaining a professional orientation, leveraging its international advantages, and promoting systematic coordination. Collaborating closely with the CCPIT sub-councils in Tianjin and Hebei, CCPIT Beijing will organize independent brand activities and engage in practical economic and trade exchanges. Together, they are dedicated to serving the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by tailoring distinctive economic and trade exchange activities based on local conditions, thereby propelling the region’s coordinated development to new heights. In doing so, they aim to serve as a driving force for high-quality development nationwide, contributing to the establishment of leading areas and demonstration zones for China’s modernization construction.

To advance the coordinated development strategy of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the three CCPIT sub-councils have jointly conducted research and signed the Action Plan for Promoting Collaborative Development of Trade and Investment in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. This plan strengthens collaborative cooperation in eight key areas, including enhancing innovative development, international liaison, exhibition economy, commercial legal services, and facilitating trade and investment. The sub-councils are leveraging their roles in connecting government and enterprises, integrating domestic and international resources, and facilitating the flow of supply and demand to achieve these goals. With a more proactive and dedicated approach, the sub-councils remain committed to serving the high-quality development of the region’s outward-oriented economy and contributing to building a national hub for opening up and foreign trade.

Besides, Guo Huaigang delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the “2023 Meat Import Trade Development and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Port Cold Chain Economic Growth Forum” on June 30. He emphasized the importance of the joint organization of the “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei International Investment and Trade Fair” series of events by the sub-councils of the three regions. These events have created distinctive industrial and supply chains and seized new opportunities for industry development, serving as a strong testament to the trade promotion organizations’ efforts in promoting coordinated development in the new era. To further advance these efforts, CCPIT Beijing will stay committed to enhancing cooperation mechanisms with the sub-councils in Tianjin and Hebei. The organizations will continuously strive to improve the market-oriented operation of exhibitions, strengthen the sharing of economic and trade early warning information, and enhance cooperation in addressing trade frictions. Additionally, they will focus on relieving non-capital functions from Beijing, strengthening collaborative innovation and industry cooperation, and continuously advancing trade and investment facilitation in the three regions. These efforts will promote further development in trade and investment promotion in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
