The “Beijing International Economic and Trade Lecture: Latin American Market, Business Opportunities, and Cooperation” was successfully held both online and offline on the afternoon of June 20. This training session served as a precursor to the 16th China-LAC Business Summit and aimed to enhance thematic education, foster economic and trade exchanges, and promote cooperation between local businesses and those in Latin America. This session was co-hosted by CCPIT Beijing, Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, and Capital Library of China, and organized by Beijing Association of International Economy and Trade (BAIET). Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and President of BAIET, attended the training together with other relevant staff members. The session was moderated by Lang Lihua, Vice President of BAIET.
The lecturers for the training session included Zhou Mi, Deputy Director, Institute of American and Oceania Study, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce; Liu Rutao, Former Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese embassies in Bolivia, Chile, and the Dominican Republic; and Dang Qi, Former Chief Correspondent of Xinhua News Agency in Chile, Panama, and Costa Rica. These experts elaborated on various topics, including the current state of the Latin American market, the trends in trade between China and Latin American countries, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by businesses venturing into Latin America. They also shared their insights and recommendations with the participants.
The training session was live-streamed by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) through the CCOIC Lecture section of its official WeChat account. Over 160 participants, including representatives from CCPIT Beijing, relevant associations and chambers of commerce, cross-border traders, and foreign investment enterprises, attended the session online.
