On June 8, the CCPIT Beijing hosted a themed study session, delving into the study and application of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, with an aim to elevate the theoretical understanding and professional capabilities of party members and cadres.
Liu Zhengfu, Director of the Department of Development Research at the CCPIT, was invited to give a lecture on the topic “Addressing New Situations and Tasks for Trade Promotion in the New Era”. All party members and cadres of the CCPIT Beijing attentively participated in the lecture.
During the study session, Liu Zhengfu delivered an insightful lecture on how to further study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, which was delivered via video at the Conference on the 70th Anniversary of CCPIT and Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit. He elaborated the promotion of international trade from four perspectives: the history of CCPIT, achievements in trade promotion in the new era, new situations and tasks for trade promotion, and priorities of CCPIT’s current and future work. Liu Zhengfu’s lecture was engaging and informative, using objective data, detailed information, and relevant examples to illustrate his points. He explained profound theories in simple language, making the lecture clear and easy to understand. The lecture closely examined the significant transformations occurring in both domestic and international landscapes, while also highlighted the opportunities and challenges that current trade promotion endeavors encounter. In a word, this lecture facilitated a deeper understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era among all party members and cadres of the CCPIT Beijing, positively contributing to the robust advancement of thematic education.
In the follow-up discussion, it was agreed that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era should remain a guiding principle in the efforts to build consensus and to lead China’s high-quality development. It is crucial to thoroughly study and understand the world outlook and methodology of this important thought. All participants also expressed their determination to effectively utilize its positions, viewpoints, and methods, translate the learning outcomes into practical actions that can transform both their subjective and objective worlds, prioritize innovation and quality improvement, work diligently, take responsibilities and initiative, and perform all duties with excellence. Only by doing so, can they make a significant contribution to promote greater openness of Beijing and set an example for others to follow.
