Zhang Xiufeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, met with María Teresa Vial, President of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce in Chile on the afternoon of June 7 local time. The two sides had exchanges on promoting business dialogues and deepening economic and trade cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Zhou Kai, Chief Representative of CCPIT in Chile.
Zhang Xiufeng briefed President María Teresa Vial on the Beijing-Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Fair recently hosted by CCPIT Beijing, and discussed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Beijing-Chile Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Fair to be jointly hosted by the two sides, hoping that the two sides will make joint efforts to create an efficient platform for exchanges among enterprises in Beijing and Chile. He cordially invited Chilean enterprises to participate in the 16th China-LAC Business Summit to be held in Beijing in November. Additionally, Zhang also stated that CCPIT Beijing and the Santiago Chamber of Commerce have similar functions, while the enterprises in China and Chile are complementary in production capacities, hoping to continue the cooperation in international trade and investment promotion, commercial law services, MICE promotion, multilateral and bilateral cooperation in economy and trade, and construction of application-oriented think tanks in economy and trade.
President María Teresa Vial extended warm welcome to CCPIT Beijing delegation. She stressed that Chilean enterprises have shown a growing interest in investing in and trading with China in recent years. Besides, as the most influential chamber of commerce in Chile, the Santiago Chamber of Commerce would like to join hands with CCPIT Beijing to strengthen communication and matchmaking, and create a platform for dialogues through efficient communication ways on a technology-basis, in a bid to advance mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation among enterprises in the two cities.
The Santiago Chamber of Commerce is one of the most long-established, influential chambers of commerce in Chile, and it now boasts 2,580 members.
