CCPIT Beijing Chairman Guo Huaigang Had a Breakfast Meeting with Matías Tombolini, Secretary of Commerce from Ministry of Economy of Argentina

On June 5, 2023 local time, Guo Huaigang, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, invited Matías Tombolini, Secretary of Commerce from Ministry of Economy, Germán Carlos Cervantes, Deputy Secretary of Policy and Business Management, and Rodrigo Herrera Bravo, Director of the General Office of Secretary of Commerce, to a breakfast meeting, in the company of Zhang Xiufeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing.

Guo Huaigang thanked Matías Tombolini for his support to the Beijing economic and trade delegation, and introduced the composition of this delegation and the preparations for the Beijing-Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Fair, hoping that Matías Tombolini will continue to support the 16th China-LAC Business Summit to be held in Beijing this year and lead the Argentine delegation to attend the summit. He pointed out that the complementary nature of economic resources between China and Latin America brings numerous opportunities for investment and trade cooperation. Furthermore, he highlighted Argentina’s status as a significant economy within Latin America, citing the continuous increase year-on-year in import, export and investment with Beijing despite the pandemic, demonstrating his unwavering confidence in better development opportunities in the post-pandemic era. As for the upcoming China-LAC Business Summit to be held in Beijing in November this year, Guo emphasized its prominence as a high-quality platform for full exchanges and in-depth discussions on cooperation between the two sides in policy, economy, trade, culture, science and technology, and expected fruitful outputs based on years of mutual understanding. He reiterated that CCPIT Beijing, as the host of the China-LAC Business Summit, will make full preparations in terms of planning, organization and services, to ensure the efficient operation of a wide range of activities such as forums, promotion events and exhibitions, and contribute to the exchanges between China and Latin America.

Matías Tombolini expressed his gratitude for the invitation from CCPIT Beijing, and confirmed his attendance in the “Beijing-Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Fair” as well as his willingness to deliver a speech. Meanwhile, he’s full of confidence in the tourism industry and financial cooperation between China and Argentina. While vigorously facilitating the use of CNY for trade settlement with China, the Ministry of Economy will also advance the policy openness and facilitation services in automobile manufacturing. Matías hoped to work together with CCPIT Beijing to press ahead with comprehensive exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Argentine enterprises in various fields.
