Online Training on “Policy and Practice of Compliant Operation of Cross-border E-commerce” Successfully Held

With the strong support of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, CCPIT Beijing, CCPITs in Tianjin, Hebei, Shenyang, and Qingdao, and China Chamber of International Commerce joined hands with Beijing Association for Trade in Services to co-host an online training session on “Policy and Practice of Compliant Operation of Cross-border E-commerce” on the afternoon of May 11. The training was chaired by Ma Xiaosen, Vice President and Secretary General of Beijing E-Commerce Association, and participated by nearly 200 people from the hosts, co-organizers, relevant business associations and representatives from enterprises inside and outside Beijing.

At the training session, Gong Panwen, Deputy Director of the Division of Luggage and Mail Supervision of Beijing Customs District, explained in detail the evolution of China’s cross-border e-commerce policies and introduced the main models, pilot cities and comprehensive pilot zones of cross-border e-commerce. Hao Jingyu, a partner of Hai Run Law Firm, gave a briefing on the problems in customs compliance of cross-border e-commerce and elaborated on the construction of the compliance system. Sun Huitong, Amazon’s Compliance Manager for Global Store Opening, talked about the common compliance requirements and solutions in European countries.

This training session kept enterprises in cross-border e-commerce updated of the latest policies and compliance operation practices, effectively improved their risk prevention capabilities, and promoted the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce.
