On the afternoon of April 27, Guo Huaigang, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, and Wu Lanlan, Vice Chairwoman of CCPIT Beijing, met with Huang Huijuan, Asia-Pacific Director of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation.
Guo Huaigang noted that Beijing, as a leading city in terms of the number and scale of meetings held in China, represented the largest potential market in China for ICCA. With rich experience in conference organization, CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce hoped to cooperate with ICCA to build an information exchange platform, served enterprises in the convention industry and expanded their international influence. Wu Lanlan highlighted the key economic and trade activities such as China Beijing International High-tech Expo and China International Fair for Trade in Services, and welcomed ICCA to co-organize meetings and activities in Beijing.
Huang Huijuan briefly introduced the organizational structure and business operation model of ICCA, and expressed her willingness to enhance cooperation with CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce. She also invited CCPIT Beijing to the ICCA Congress 2023 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 10 to 15.
Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, ICCA is known as a famous star organization in the international meetings industry. It gathers many talents in international affairs, and has more than 1,100 members from nearly 100 countries and regions.
