On the morning of March 6, Guo Huaigang, chairman of CCPIT Beijing, received Hakan Kizartici, chief commercial counsellor of Turkish Embassy in Beijing, and conducted friendly discussions on promotion of bilateral cooperation on economy and trade. Other attendees of the meeting included Adnan Akgöz, commercial counsellor of Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, Ahmet Serhat Turan, country adviser of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, and Zhang Xiufeng, vice chairman of CCPIT Beijing.
Guo Huaigang expressed his sincere condolences to Turkey that stuck by the devastating earthquake. As a crucial juncture along the Belt & Road, Turkey was a long-term close partner of CCPIT Beijing in regards of interactions among the commercial sectors, with whom we conducted various exchanges as well as cooperation between enterprises from both countries together. Guo then invited the Turkish Embassy to actively join the China International Fair for Trade in Services, Exhibition of ZGC Forum (also known as China Beijing International High-tech Expo), and Beijing International Investment Cooperation Seminar and Conference, and hoped to push forward the formation as well as conclusion of a friendly cooperation agreement between CCPIT Beijing and the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.
Kizartici extended gratitude for assistance around China during the earthquake and appreciated CCPIT Beijing for its facilitation provided to the Embassy as well as Turkish corporations. He assured the great attention payed to cooperation with Beijing on economy and trade, and expressed the willingness to be involved in the Beijing International Investment Cooperation Seminar and Conference. Kizartici then expressed the desire of interactions with enterprises in Beijing by taking advantages of Turkey’s geographical location, labour force, tariff preference and other benefits and the hope of having enterprises from Beijing to visit, invest and expand market in Turkey.
