On the afternoon of February 17, Guo Huaigang, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, led a delegation to Procter & Gamble (P&G), member of the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing (IBLAC) and visited P&G Beijing Innovation Center. The delegation then exchanged ideas with Nixon Ocampochua, President of Procter & Gamble Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Guo Zhihong, General Manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy, and heads of the Operations Department and R&D Department.
Guo Huaigang emphasized that the enormous consumer market as well as opening-up policies aiming for constructing the city into an international hub for consumption provided a perfect environment for P&G to boost its local R&D capacities and deepen cross-sector cooperation. CCPIT Beijing would leverage mechanisms including IBLAC and international corporation serving projects to offer all-round help to members of IBLAC and support P&G’s expansion on investments and development in Beijing. He also expressed hope for P&G playing an active role in participating global activities in Beijing, such as IBLAC and the Exhibition of ZGC Forum ( China Beijing International High-tech Expo), and promoting Sino-US economic and trade cooperation as well as non-governmental exchanges. Ocampochua expressed gratitude to the Beijing Municipal Government for their continuous support towards P&G’s growth in the city. He also thanked CCPIT Beijing, as the secretariat of IBLAC, for giving timely and effective hand to address the company’s challenges. Guo Zhihong then gave an overview of the company’s business operations, corporate values, and R&D capabilities. It was the favorable business environment in Beijing that had facilitated the seamless progress of the second phase expansion project of Beijing P&G Innovation Center. P&G would still be committed to leading the industry and expanding the variety of consumer goods available in Beijing in the future.
