The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing), together with CCPIT sub-councils in Tianjin, Hebei, Shenyang, Qingdao, Wuhan, and the China Chamber of International Commerce, co-hosted the online meeting on the transformation of traditional foreign trade companies into ones working on cross-border e-commerce on the afternoon of August 18. The meeting attracted more than 270 representatives from the organizers and co-organizers, relevant business associations and companies inside and outside Beijing.
Li Li, Vice President of the DHgate.com Research Institute, gave an overview on the status and trend of China’s cross-border e-commerce development in recent years, elaborated on how traditional foreign trade companies enter the field of cross-border e-commerce, and shared the successful cases. She also emphasized the key points and requirements for the compliance that companies should pay attention to during the transformation. Li had intensive exchanges with participants after the meeting.
The Beijing Import & Export Enterprises Association and the Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association will mobilize their members to participate in such events, thus helping traditional trade and manufacturing companies seize the new opportunities brought by cross-border e-commerce for transformation and upgrading and exploring new markets to promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
