The delegation was joined by Vice Chairwoman Wu Lanlan, Vice Chairman Zhang Xiufeng, officials from the Advisory Council Secretariat, and heads of relevant departments under the ad-hoc working team.
Guo said that Panasonic is among the first internationally renowned manufacturing enterprises to enter Beijing since reform and opening up, and it is also among the first to join the Advisory Council and has been contributing to the development of Beijing and the construction of a “Dual Olympic City”. He pointed out that as global cooperation is facing greater challenges, trade promotion agencies will play a greater role in promoting high-level openness and international economic and trade cooperation, and reaffirmed that CCPIT Beijing will earnestly implement the requirements of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, actively play its role of high-end consultation for decision-making in the economic and trade field, vigorously promote trade and investment, further expand commercial law services, and actively help solve problems faced by foreign-funded enterprises and provide all-round services through the Advisory Council Secretariat and the ad-hoc working team for foreign-funded enterprises.
Zhao thanked the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality for their support and help since Panasonic’s entry into China. Facilitated by the government’s strong epidemic control measures and the policy of production resumption, Panasonic in China has registered a double-digit growth, made new investments in various places of China in an orderly manner, and thus gained stronger confidence and determination in business expansion in China. He stressed that Panasonic would expand its business with the goal to create “a better life” and “a sustainable environment” in mind, and look forward to strengthening communication with the municipal government, identifying more strategic partners in Beijing, and actively integrating into Beijing’s development with the help of CCPIT Beijing.
