四、Planning Ideas
Closely aligned with the theme of our time and adapted to the “new normal” of culture building, the 2015 China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE) will establish itself as a six-in-one platform integrating general activities, exhibitions, special sessions, forums, business promotion and creative activities, so as to carry forward the outstanding Chinese culture, better contribute to economic and industrial restructuring and upgrading, and help stimulate domestic demand and meet the ever-growing material and cultural needs of the people. First, ICCIE will provide catalyst and impetus for resource sharing and industrial growth. Leveraging the resources of Beijing as the national cultural center, it will constellate major cultural & creative activities and projects launched by Chinese ministries and commissions, central enterprises and cultural agencies, thus providing basis for innovative development of the industry.
Second, ICCIE will highlight “culture plus” business to spur industrial innovation and integration. It will play a guiding role in promoting the development and integration of cultural & creative sectors with agriculture, sports, tourism, commercial services, high-end manufacturing, construction and information industries.
Third, ICCIE will carry itself on the massive wave of entrepreneurship by boosting smaller and younger enterprises. Echoing the call for “massive entrepreneurship and innovation”, it will focus on original Chinese brands and pinpoint and promote smaller and younger enterprises with innovation potential, helping SMEs to develop and utilize “new, distinctive, specialized, sophisticated” products and technology.
Fourth, ICCIE will pass on the outstanding traditional culture. It will spare no effort to identify intangible heritage, promote time-honored Chinese brands, and democratize other cultural products and projects which are “inheriting and innovating”, thus offering visitors front row seats to the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
Fifth, ICCIE will facilitate regional cooperation and business exchange. Placing equal emphases on “bringing in” and “going global”, it will extensively attract cultural innovations at home and abroad, and take multiple measures to provide premium services for participating enterprises and trade visitors, thus promoting the industrialization and trade of cultural innovations.
Sixth, ICCIE will enrich its connotation and enhance its brand effect. By dint of the “ten-year retrospective” activities, it will beat the tom-tom of publicity and open wide the door to social stakeholders and market resources in an effort to enhance its brand effect.
