On the afternoon of July 4, the CCPIT chairman Jiang Zengwei met with Greek Economy, Development and Tourism Minister Giorgos Stathakis when he attended the second Greece-China Maritime Cooperation Business Forum. Both sides exchanged views on increasing bilateral cooperation and promoting bilateral trade and economic relationship
Mr. Jiang said that China and Greece share a long-term friendship that is based on mutual trust and understanding. In the past decade since the establishment of China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership, the relations between two countries have been undergoing positive growth. The cooperation has been deepened in many areas, especially in the maritime field. He hoped that companies of both countries shall increase cooperation, expand cooperation scope and promote bilateral maritime cooperation.
Mi. Stathakis said that the recent years have witnessed the rapid development of China-Greece maritime cooperation, which has become the backbone of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. He hoped that both countries shall increase cooperation in the fields of technological innovation, environmental protection, new energy and tourism, to bolster the development of China-Greece trade and economic relationship.
Wang Hong, director of State Oceanic Administration, Staiks, director of Greek Enterprise Department, and Yu Jianlong, secretary-general of the CCOIC attended the meeting.
