Xiong Jiuling Elected as WTCA Director

On Apr. 26^th-30^th, a delegation of World Trade Center Beijing led by Chairperson Xiong Jiuling attended 46^th World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) General Assembly in Manila, the Philippines. The General Assembly comprises, among others, the opening ceremony, member conference, delegate seminar, 2015-2019 Board election and appointment, director meet-and-greet, and special meeting of directors.

After the Board election on Apr. 27^th, Xiong was crowned as one of the 24 directors and one of the five from Asia/Pacific of the 331-member association. Her ascendancy will assure WTC Beijing of a greater say in WTCA’s global network and provide Beijing with a broader access to its resources worldwide.

During its stay in the Philippines, the WTC Beijing delegation held a promotion of 10^th China Beijing international Cultural & Creative Industry Expo. It conducted in-depth communications on future cooperation with its counterparts from Casablanca, New Orleans, Moscow and Manila. It also attended the Philippine Enterprise Promotion and compared notes with the Philippine Exporters Confederation and the Philippine Department of Tourism.

With the theme of “Better together”, the General Assembly, co-sponsored by WTCA and WTC Manila, attracted over 230 deputies of 100-odd WTCs all over the world as well as representatives of more than 30 local governments and enterprises.
