Press Conference of Guiyang International Big Data Expo 2015 & Global Big Data Era Guiyang Summit in Beijing

Preparations are smoothly under way for the approaching Guiyang International Big Data Expo 2015 & Global Big Data Era Guiyang Summit (hereinafter referred to as the “Big Data Expo”). On Apr. 17^th, 2015, the Organizing Committee of Big Data Expo held the 2^nd press conference at the Briefing Hall of Information Office of Beijing Municipal People’s Government to spread messages about the exhibition via the media. Relevant officials from Guiyang Municipal People’s Government, Guizhou Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Zunyi Municipal People’s Government, Administrative Committee of Gui’an New Area, and Internet Society of China as well as Lin Bin, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council, attended the press conference.

The press conference started with the opening remarks of Liu Chuncheng, a member of the Standing Committee of Guiyang Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Guiyang, who touched on enterprise participation, forum preparation, public attention as well as the application innovation contest, and sent out via the media an invitation to leading enterprises, experts and scholars in the field of big data.

In the Q&A session, Lin Bin elaborated on the unique characteristics of Big Data Expo and the big data mindset in exhibition planning. The exhibition is, as he put it, the first in China and among the very few in the world to have “big data” in the name. As a genuinely “international” event, it is graced by the presence of famed enterprises at home and abroad specializing in cloud computing, intelligent terminal, software services, mobile Internet, data security, data center and online retail; meanwhile, it is strongly backed by the national government and industrial organizations. Aside from the theme forum and sub-forums, the exhibition hall accommodates special zones for enterprise presentation, project roadshow, product rollout, technical exchange and business negotiation, making the Big Data Expo “highly interactive”. Committed alike to a “high-end” gala, the exhibition has aligned organizational tasks with databases, mobile Internet devices and other platforms. These platforms have kicked exhibition management up a notch as enterprise and visitor registration is permitted through the official website, WeChat, Ipad, and mobile APPs which, after downloaded, grants visitors direct access to information on VIPs, enterprises, meetings and products of interest for the sake of efficient routes and optimal experience.

The Big Data Expo will be staged at Guiyang International Conference & Exhibition Center on May 26^th-29^th. Enterprise invitation is so far so good, with the 40,000m² exhibition area nearly booked up. The Organizing Committee is now exerting a final spurt towards a fabulous exhibition.
