Description:
With a planned area of 32km2 and a planned investment of RMB 3.5 billion, Zhangye International Logistics Park is located on a narrow strip of land confined by G312 and Lianyungang-Horgos Expressway; specifically, it is sandwiched between West Shandan Toll Gate and Dongle Toll Gate of the Expressway. Adjacent to a city but not within a city, such an area is well placed to run the logistics business. The Park is easily accessible from all directions by road, railway or air. To the west, it is less than 10km away from Zhangye Ganzhou Airport, 2.6km away from Dongle Railway Station, and 13km away from Minle Eco-industry Park; to the east, it is 83km away from Alxa Right Banner. Since unused State-owned land takes up over 95% of the Park’s area, the costs of post-requisition demolition are avoided.
In five years, a spatial layout featuring “one axis, two zones and five clusters” will take shape at the Park. “One axis” refers to an open landscape road at the center of the Park; “two zones” to the industry zone and business zone, divided by a PV power plant; and “five clusters” to the regional logistics cluster for featured industries, the international cluster for comprehensive logistics services, the cluster for collection and distribution of industrial products, the cluster for import/export processing and logistics, and the logistics port and bonded center, from east to west. After its completion, the Park is expected to log RMB 4.6 billion in annual sales and RMB 1 billion in pre-tax profits, and create more than 20,000 jobs. So far, 33 projects, with a total investment of RMB 1.161 billion, have landed in the Park, including 12 ones worth RMB 405 million in 2017. Among them, four projects worth RMB 83 million broke around the very year. The Park has built a 15.7km high-standard trunk road, communication lines of over 40km, a 35KV substation, 10KV power supply lines of 12km, flood control dams of 19km, eight flood control channels of 8.3km, a 1,000-ton reservoir, six pumping wells, a 30km water supply network for work and living and a 183km such network for greening (the Park has a green space of more than 3,200mu). Full-scale construction of two projects is under way, namely the 21.9km central road (a RMB 396 million investment) and the municipal support project east of Yemao Mountain (a RMB 149 million investment in water supply and drainage, sewage treatment, and fiber-optic communication). Specifically, five north-south roads 12.5km west of the mountain have come into use, while the solid waste landfill and gas pipelines are on the drawing board.
