Description:
With an area of over 13,000mu, the RMB 286 million Phase I project is designed to be circular, integrated and sustainable. It features the Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park around Yingchun Lake, where breeding and planting strive to turn their synergies into green, harmless, non-toxic food. The Park also caters to tourists, holidaymakers, pensioners and health-conscious consumers. Phase II project covers 30,000-50,000mu and costs RMB 300-500 million. It includes a spa resort, a water park (10km2 of which is covered by waters), and facilities for deep processing of what the Park produces. Phase III project will add an exotic touch to the rustic, yet modern, land. Miniature versions of celebrated buildings and scenic areas across the globe will be scattered around the existing establishments, creating what can be called an “agricultural Disneyland”. The entire project covers more than 80,000mu and costs RMB 1.5 billion.

Favorable conditions:
1. Policies: The project answers to the call of the 18th CPC National Congress to “speed up the development of modern agriculture and raise the overall production capacity of agriculture, making great efforts to promote ecological progress”. Furthermore, in 2010, the central government officially approved the establishment of Shanxi as the National Comprehensive Reform Pilot Area for Transformation and Development of Resource-based Economy.
2. Ecology: Qinxian at 37 degrees north is a pristine, pollution-free land 1,000 meters above sea level, and a peerless recreation, tourism, holiday and health resort amid a “sea of coal”. With 121 million m3 clean source water, it is a water-rich area rarely seen in the province. Air quality here meets the national Grade-II standards all year round.
3. Tourism: Qinxian is where diversification meets localization. Proximity with Pingyao, Wuxiang, Qinyuan and other reputed destinations makes the millennia-old culture-rich county and former revolutionary base a tourism bonanza.
4. Industries: Known as a national premium produce demonstration base, a harmless production area, and a provincial premium miscellaneous grain production base, Qinxian boasts distinctive and dominant rural sectors including the much-sought-after organic agriculture which is still in its adolescence. The county’s six main specialties are: yellow millet, protected cultivation of vegetables, walnut, miscellaneous grains, TCM, and livestock & poultry.

Environment:
