Online Training Session on “U.S. Export Control and Economic Sanctions Risks and Responses”was Successfully Held

On the afternoon of May 13, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) worked with CCPIT branches in Tianjin, Hebei, Shenyang, Qingdao, and Wuhan, International Chamber of Commerce, and Beijing Import&Export Enterprises Association to host the online training session on “U.S. Export Control and Economic Sanctions Risks and Responses”. More than 160 people from the organizers, relevant business associations and representatives of enterprises participated in this training session.

At the training session, Wang Dakun, a lawyer from Beijing Zhonglun Law Firm, gave an in-depth and detailed explanation of the U.S. export control system, U.S. economic sanctions system, U.S. export control and economic sanctions risk identification. He also puts forward suggestions on how to prevent risks in U.S. export control and economic sanctions. After the session, Mr. Wang answered the questions raised by the participants in detail.

This online training session gathered representatives of enterprises from all over the country to learn from each other and make some exchanges, thus helping international trade companies to understand the U.S. policies fully and accurately in export control and economic sanctions in the context of U.S.-China trade disputes and the U.S. government’s continuous strengthening of law enforcement against Chinese companies. This session facilitates Chinese companies to actively carry out internal compliance programs, effectively prevent risks and respond to challenges.
