“China-EU Economic and Trade Trends, Policies and Regulations” online public lecture was held to inform companies abut economic and trade policies in EU

In order to respond to the global pandemic and facilitate foreign trade and economic cooperation, the Beijing Information Center for International Economy and Trade recently held the 20th lecture of a series of international economic and trade lectures - “China-EU Economic and Trade Trends, Policies and Regulations”, and invited industry experts to present on China-EU economic and trade relations, the China-EU Comprehensive Agreement on Investment and key areas of cooperation for companies. This lecture was hosted by Ma Changjun, the inspector and vice chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing), and was attended by relevant institutions and enterprises in the field of foreign trade and economic cooperation online across the nation.

Sun Yongfu, former director of the Department of European Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, introduced the characteristics and development trends of China-EU economic and trade relations, especially the recent new circumstances and changes. Based on the Trade Policy Review submitted by the European Commission in February this year, Mr. Guan Jian, a senior partner of Globe-Law, explained the background of EU’s new trade policies. The Cross-Border Business Department of the People’s Bank of China focused on the RMB internationalization policy, covering the RMB internationalization policy framework, latest developments and prospects.

Beijing Information Center for International Economy and Trade was co-founded by CCPIT Beijing and the Capital Library of China and is jointly run by the Capital Library of China and the Beijing Academy of International Economy and Trade. The Center holds public lectures every quarter to inform companies about new circumstances and changes in trade policies, so that they can adjust business priorities in a timely manner, and avoid international trade risks.
