Beijing Audiovisual Program “Go Global” Service Platform to Appear at the CIFTIS

The 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (“CIFTIS”) themed by “Global Services, Shared Prosperity” will take place in early September in Beijing. The “Go Global” Service Platform (“Platform”), an audiovisual program of Beijing Radio & Television Network (“BRTN”), will appear at the CIFTIS Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition to showcase its experience in supporting cultural enterprises to tell China’s stories and Beijing’s stories on the international stage. Committed to fostering platform enterprises, building event brands, and expanding collaboration methods, Huayunshangde, StarTimes, and other well-known brands for international cultural communication supported by the Platform will tell their international exchange stories in the Beijing New Audiovisual Exhibition Area.

　　A TV program named Lai Kan Ba started to be broadcast by local mainstream TV stations of Germany ten years ago, and it will celebrate its tenth anniversary on August 18, 2020. According to Wang Libin, Chairman of Beijing Huayunshangde International Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., the said program covers major German-speaking regions and effectively reaches 20 million people. This 30-minute daily program broadcasts Chinese society and people's daily life, etc. in the form of documentaries in German mainstream media, exquisitely and silently spreading Chinese culture and stories to ordinary people in Germany. Huayunshangde has not only broadcast Chinese-produced documentaries in German-speaking regions but also launched the Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival in Frankfurt, Germany since 2016. “China Pavilion” entered the Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival in 2018, and with this opportunity, the rights to broadcast dozens of excellent Chinese documentaries such as Underwater China, Within and Beyond the Great Wall, Our Homeland, Guanzhong Academy, The Fire Sacrifice, and Brave Father were bought by foreign broadcasters, and multiple two-way collaborations for project co-production, student training, academic exchanges, and local broadcast, etc. were conducted.
