CCPIT Overseas Representative Offices Work Meeting 2020 Held in Beijing

The CCPIT Overseas Representative Offices Work Meeting 2020 was held on January 10 in Beijing. Following the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the conference implemented fully the guiding principles of the Party’s 19th National Congress and the second, third and fourth plenary sessions of its 19th Central Committee, and the guidelines of the Central Economic Work Conference. The conference also reviewed the work of overseas representative offices in 2019, analyzed current situation and outlined new plans and tasks in 2020.

Gao Yan, CCPIT Chairperson and Secretary of CCPIT Committee of Communist Party of China, attended and addressed the conference. Lu Pengqi, CCPIT Vice Chairman and member of the Party Committee of CCPIT, put forward some requirements with regard to implementing the guiding principles of this meeting.

During the meeting, it is pointed out that in 2019, under the strong leadership of the CCPIT Party Committee, overseas representative offices have fully implemented all major policies and plans made by the Party Central Committee, made new progresses in all respects of its work, provided strong support to the high-quality development of trade promotion work in the new era and acted in the service of China's overall diplomatic, economic and trade work.

The meeting highlighted that in order to deliver a solid performance of the work of oversea representative offices in 2020, we must continue to carry out information surveys, strengthen the construction of cooperation mechanisms, improve the services to overseas Chinese-funded enterprises, keep to the correct path and make innovations to overcome difficulties, and earnestly facilitate the high-quality development of the trade promotion work and the construction of world-class trade promotion agencies, so as to make greater contributions to building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

Officials from CCPIT overseas representative offices made the work report, representatives from CCPIT subsidiary departments exchanged views. Officials from relevant units directly under CCPIT were also in attendance.

Exhibition of the work results of overseas representative offices in 2019 was held as a sideline event of the meeting.
