Opening Ceremony of the Second China (Huai’An) International Food Expo was Held

On May 9, opening ceremony of the Second China (Huai’An) International Food Expo, which was co-organized by CCPIT Jiangsu Sub-Council, was held in the Huai’An International Food Expo Center. Guo Yuanqiang, Vice Governor of Jiangsu, and Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, have attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

This Food Expo features “Quality Food, Quality Life”, and consists of three parts: theme exhibition, high-end summit, and food exhibition. Theme exhibition covers an area of over 30,000 m². It is composed of Overseas Food Hall, Domestic Food Hall, E-Commerce Food Hall, Jiangsu Food Hall, Wine & Liquor Hall, Flavored Food Hall, and has attracted over 10 thousand “renowned, characteristic, good and new” products from 456 enterprises both home and abroad. The number of exhibition enterprises has increased by 58% compared with the first session, and more than half of them are foreign enterprises, including 30 World Fortune 500 companies, Top 100 Global Food Enterprises and 40 Top 100 Domestic Enterprises, as well as 15 overseas pavilions from Japan, South Korea, Canada, Britain and Russia. During the exhibition, the Food Safety Summit will be held, and more than 10 exciting activities will be organized, including the “Fashionable Food Consumption” purchase & order meeting, overseas food business communication meeting, Huaiyang Cuisine Master Invitational Tournament, intangible cuisine arts exhibition in the cities along the canal and Huaihe River. The activities presented many characteristics such as a gathering of people, famous products, and food, a connection of production and sales.

At the opening ceremony, a total of 32 investment and cooperation projects in food industry were signed, with a total value of 15.634 billion yuan.
