I. Background
Launched in 2006, China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE), an annual grand gala for international cultural and creative industries, has been successfully held 13 times. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, National Radio and TV Administration and Beijing Municipal People’s Government, upon approval of the State Council. This year’s ICCIE will be held in Beijing, as always, on May 29-30.
The past 13 years have borne witness to the growing influence and brand effect of ICCIE, which emerges as a landmark national platform for cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and international cultural and creative industries. ICCIE has so far attracted over 500 government and industrial delegations from 90-odd countries and regions, including the UN, World Intellectual Property Organization, and International Animated Film Society.
Consisting of keynote speeches, forums and roundtables, Chinese Cultural Industry Development Forum at the ICCIE will bring together high-profile guests at home and abroad to decipher advanced theories and industrial dynamics. The forum serves to boost domestic cultural and creative industry and bring it closer to the world.
As ICCIE pools macro and micro insights from heads of globally influential institutions, famed cultural and economic scholars, and executives of flagship companies, so will the 2019 Chinese Cultural Industry Development Forum draw the leading lights of ICCIE sponsors, international organizations, academia and companies.
