Accelerating industrialization is a common pursuit for African countries in their endeavor to speed up the transformation of economic development modes. The Agenda 2063, which is a part of the African Vision and Action Plan of African Union, clearly mapped out the development goal and direction of African manufacturing industry which is the critical part to the second five-year plan of the Ethiopian Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) II. The second five-year plan is aiming to significantly push the manufacturing industry which is expected to play a leading role in providing jobs, changing the structure of export and settling trade imbalance. The Chinese participants will bring their machinery equipment sets, technical equipment, products and solutions that are fit for the African market and perfectly match Africa’s actual needs in the GTP II. During the period of the exhibition, both Chinese and Ethiopian organizers will invite official and business leaders as well as industrial experts to attend matchmaking meetings to realize precise match, so as to learn from each other and achieve mutual progress.
This Exhibition is designed to implement the achievements delivered by the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, drive the China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, provide industry-level exhibition and exchanges in facilitating Africa’s realization of GTP II, reinforce mutual understanding, establish and cement the foundation for cooperation, and erect a bridge of interconnectivity for China-Africa industrial community.
