Grand Opening of ICCIE 2018 and Keynote Seminar scheduled on October 25

The 13th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (the ICCIE 2018) under the theme of “lead high-quality development of the cultural industry and support building of the national cultural center” will be held in Beijing from October 25 (Thursday) to 28 (Sunday). ICCIE 2018 is sponsored by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, National Radio and Television Administration, National Copyright Administration and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and organized by CCPIT Beijing.

The ICCIE 2018 opening ceremony and keynote seminar is scheduled on October 25. It is an important part of the multifaceted platform that consists of comprehensive activities, exhibitions and displays, promotions and transactions, forums and meetings, creative activities, and parallel sessions. Prominent high-level guests invited to the opening ceremony and keynote seminar are going to present in their keynote speeches the most recent dynamics and theoretical achievements of cultural and creative industries worldwide, in a bid to guide high-quality development of China’s cultural industry and strengthen cooperation and exchanges in these sectors between the east and the west.

In addition, the opening ceremony and keynote seminar also features guests discussions and exchanges under many topics such as “Culture + Smart IP/VR/AR/AI gives rise to a new entertainment pattern”, “Digital Communication for leading a smart life”, “Culture + Finance helps with transformation of cultural and creative industries by beefing up cultural and financial support efficiency” as well as “Culture-related trade helps grow national soft power”.

Since its inception approved by China State Council in 2006 as a Beijing-based annual grand gathering of the international cultural and creative community, the China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo has been held for twelve years in a row with ever-growing influence and brand awareness achieved, becoming a hallmark of China’s international cooperation and exchanges in cultural and creative sectors at national level. More than 500 participants, coming from over 90 countries and regions and representing governments and industries as well as international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Intellectual Property Organization and International Animated Film Association have made their presence at ICCIE for exchanges and business since then.
