The 15th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, the sideline business event of the 15th China-ASEAN Expo, is scheduled for September 12-15 in Nanning of southern China.
As attending a meeting with regard to the two business events convened by the Chinese organizing committee in Beijing on July 17, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jiang Zengwei said, this year marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up, the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN strategic partnership and also the initiation of China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit. For this year’s summit, CCPIT will make sure the regular business events will be successfully held. Meanwhile, the major topics for discussion shall also be innovative. Last but not least, some sideline events marking the 15th anniversary shall also be held.
Jiang’s remarks were echoed by his deputy Chen Zhou, who said that China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit will have more diversified activities, for instance, forums on new economy along the Belt and Road countries and for youth leaders from these countries will debut during the summit.
Meanwhile, branded activities like China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum and Symposium on China-ASEAN Commercial Legal Cooperation will continue to be distinguished, Chen said.
