On the afternoon of May 31, 2018, the China-Three Baltic Countries Business Matchmaking Conference hosted by CCPIT Beijing was successfully held in Beijing. Business officials from the embassies of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in China and representatives from the three countries’ companies attended the conference and made presentations.
Before the meeting, Ms. Lin Bin, Vice Chairwoman of CCPIT Beijing, met with business officials from the embassies of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in China and some representatives from the three countries’ companies. Ms. Lin Bin, welcomed guests at home and abroad and encouraged participating companies to deepen their understanding of each other through this matchmaking conference and explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of architecture, design and real estate. CCPIT Beijing will continue to play a role as a bridge and bond to promote international economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and foreign companies.
Mr. Arunas Karlonas, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in China, expressed his gratitude to CCPIT Beijing and briefly introduced basic information and cooperation of three Baltic countries. He also hoped that Chinese and foreign companies can explore the possibility of cooperation through the Matchmaking Conference.
Mr. Ingus Rozenblats, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in China, said that the three Baltic countries are the participating countries of the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC “16+1 cooperation” mechanism, and also important and trustworthy partners of China. In recent years, with the rapid growth of China’s economy, the demand for architecture and design has become increasingly prominent during the urban development process. This matchmaking conference aims at allowing Chinese companies to understand the characteristics of three Baltic countries in architecture and design and integrate Scandinavia style into Chinese architecture, reflecting different architectural and design concepts.
Ms. Merike Grunthal, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in China spoke highly of China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) and said that the success of CIFTIS demonstrated China’s growing emphasis on trade in services and more international cooperation can promote the development of trade in services. Estonia has a fresh air, a beautiful environment and good ecology. It can provide a reference for China in the design and construction of environment-friendly buildings.
Persons in charge of companies such as UNO Parks, AMB International Architects, SARMA & NORDE Architects and Saaremaa Houses made presentations and promotions respectively, and expressed their willingness to seek partners in China.
Representatives of Zhongcheng Xinye (Beijing) Land Limited, China Aviation International Construction and Investment Co., Ltd., E-business Valley and other enterprises gave high praise to this matchmaking conference and some of the participating companies have reached a preliminary consensus of cooperation.
