2018 Enterprise Summit on the Development Opportunity for Industries Along Silk Road and China-Thailand Economic and Trade Fair will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China from April 22 to April 23, with the aim of expanding economic and trade communication and cooperation in the ASEAN region, implementing projects under the Belt and Road (B&R) initiative, promoting outbound investment and industrial zone construction, and giving full play to Sichuan’s role as a strategic bond and important heartland in advancing the development and interaction between B&R and Yangtze River Economic Belt. The event is co-hosted by China Chamber of International Commerce, Thailand Chamber of International Commerce, and ASEAN Plus Six Trade Promotion Association of Thailand, and jointly organized by China International Economic Cooperation and Investment Inc., Cooperation Department of International Chamber of Commerce, and Sustainable Development Venture Capital Co., Ltd.
The event aims to build a creative platform featured by multiple Thai-Chinese industrial zones. This platform will further synergize the cooperation mechanism and industrial chain of the two countries, and promote economic connectivity in real sense. The event will explore effective ways to boost international cooperation in industrial capacity. Such cooperation will help enterprises in Thailand and China, among other B&R countries, explore emerging markets and expand overseas development. In this way, the enterprises can transform and upgrade themselves, find new growth engine, and finally realize mutual benefit and common development.
The event will also connect Chinese enterprises to investment information released by the governments, chambers of commerce, and companies of B&R countries. This move will keep the enterprises in the loop, broaden their vision, boost their confidence in investment, and help them “bring in” and “go out”. After the event, the enterprises will take an organized tour around Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone and Bor Thong Industrial Zone, hoping to be involved in the ongoing and prospective projects with the help of local associations and chambers of commerce.
