10:20-11:20    Plenary session No.1: Outbound investment trends

As the global economic landscape is undergoing profound changes, new trends are surfacing in outbound investment. How can Chinese enterprises seize the strategic opportunity and deepen their involvement in B&R projects and international industrial capacity cooperation?

11:20-12:20    Plenary session No.2: International industrial capacity cooperation

Countries engaged in international industrial capacity cooperation may unleash their own advantages and inject their own factors of production into the waves of globalization. Such efforts will increase the odds of mutual benefits and shared development. Internally, the countries are able to proceed with industrial transformation and upgrading and set off a new round of high-quality opening-up, giving themselves and local enterprises a better shot against international competition.

12:20-13:30    Luncheon

13:30-15:00    Panel session No.1: Cross-border agricultural cooperation

In recent years, China’s agriculture has stepped up efforts to implement the “going out” strategies. It sees the abundant agricultural resources of the 60-odd B&R countries as a springboard to its global ambitions. How can China build on, and tap the potential of, cross-border agricultural cooperation for heavier investment in key sectors overseas?

13:30-15:00    Panel session No.2: Overseas economic and trade cooperation zone

At overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, Chinese enterprises will not only realize cluster development, but also develop together with the host countries. The increasing number of Chinese enterprises drawn to such zones, not least the relatively mature ones, are playing an important role in driving local economic transformation and upgrading. How can Chinese enterprises cluster closer in the zones in seek of more investment opportunities?

15:00-15:20    Tea break

15:20-17:00    Panel session No.3: Outbound investment services

B&R initiative has brought no less challenges than opportunities to Chinese enterprises. The 60-odd B&R countries sit oddly with one another in legal framework, market access policies, financial and tax system, environmental and labor protection schemes; some of them fall short of economic and political maturity and stability, legal soundness and business friendliness. How can globalizing Chinese enterprises safeguard their investments and operations by means of professional financial, legal, insurance and tax services?

15:20-17:00    Panel session No.4: Smart manufacturing

Nowadays, smart manufacturers are constantly upgrading themselves so as to meet the extensive demand for high-end equipment and technology. Many of them are coveting a larger share of the Chinese market. How can domestic smart manufacturers rise to the challenges? How can they build competitiveness, grow faster and go global?

17:00-18:30    Country-specific promotion and project outreach

18:30    Buffet dinner
