Southeast Asia has long been an important hub along the trade routes which are now known as the “Maritime Silk Road”. In recent years, open investment environment, easing policies and relatively low production cost have worked together to make Southeast Asia a major destination for Chinese investors.
In order to help Chinese enterprises identify risks of investing in Southeast Asia, draw on the experience and lessons of overseas investments, and establish the “going global” investment risk assessment framework, CCPIT Information Center has teamed up with CCPIT Academy, China Bond Rating Co., Ltd. and Beijing Anku Risk IT Service Co., Ltd. to hold in Beijing on the afternoon of Jul. 5th another B&R-themed lecture - Risks and Strategies of Investing in Southeast Asia.

Review the developments of B&R projects over the past three years since the initiative was proposed, sum up the achievements of B&R Forum for International Cooperation, analyze the opportunities brought by the projects to Chinese enterprises, put forward targeted strategies, and introduce Chinese investments in Southeast Asia.

14:30-16:00 Topic No.2: Case study on “Risks of Investing in Southeast Asia”
Introduce the political, economic, security, business and environmental risks of Southeast Asia based on successes and failures of Chinese investments in energy projects in the region.

16:00-17:00 Topic No.3: “Myanmar: A Case Study on Non-traditional Security Risk Control System for Foreign Investment Cooperation Projects”
Introduce the non-traditional security risk control system for investments in Myanmar, and conduct a scenario-based analysis on the points of concern.
