2015 “One Belt and One Road” Business Salon Is Successfully Held at 798 Art Zone

  On Oct. 15^th, the 2015 “One Belt and One Road” Business Salon, planned and organized by CCPIT Beijing, was successfully held at 798 Art Zone of Beijing. Focusing tightly on the key national strategy of “One Belt and One Road” (OBOR), the Salon aims to leverage the resources of the capital city.

  With the theme of "New Silk Road, New Business Opportunities", the Salon invited officials from commercial service offices under embassies in China of countries along the Belt and Road to talk face to face with Chinese enterprises. Embassies in China of countries along the routes warmly responded to the invitation and greatly supported the event. Some of them provided cultural and artistic exhibits and staged dance performances unique to their respective countries.

  Present at the Salon were embassies in China of Pakistan, Belarus, Turkey, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Lithuania, Malta and other countries. In addition, officials from commercial service offices under embassies in China of Pakistan, Belarus, Romania, Malta, Turkey, Iran, and Sri Lanka delivered speeches where they shared the investment policies and opportunities of their respective countries.

  Chinese enterprises were also proactive to participate in the event. The Organizer brought together nearly 100 entrepreneurs from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Guangxi, with interests in building, chemical engineering, communication, logistics, animal husbandry, and new energy. Some representatives made presentations at the Salon, sharing their experience in advancing the OBOR Initiative.

  During the freewheeling conversations, officials from commercial service offices under embassies in China talked face to face with Chinese enterprises. The Salon not only not only facilitated the access of the enterprises and relevant institutions to more abundant and authoritative overseas investment and trade information, but also offered the offices a better sense of the enterprises’ expectations of the investment environment of their respective countries.
