RCEP Trade Compliance and Customs Supervision Online Training Successfully Held

On the afternoon of March 3, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) co-hosted the RCEP Trade Compliance and Customs Supervision Online Training together with CCPITs in Tianjin, Hebei, Shenyang, and Qingdao, the China Chamber of International Commerce, the Beijing Import and Export Enterprises Association, and the Beijing International Economic and Technical Cooperation Association. The training was attended by more than 470 representatives from the organizer and co-organizers, relevant business associations and enterprises in and outside Beijing.

Hao Jingyu, a lawyer from the law firm of Zhong Lun in Beijing, systematically introduced RCEP’s entry into force, basic terms, country-specific tariff concessions and domestic legislation, gave an in-depth interpretation of the specific RCEP terms related to trade in goods, including origin compliance and customs supervision, overseas customs compliance, compliance of trade remedy measures and customs supervision, application and practice of advance rulings by customs, and comprehensively analyzed the development of trade compliance with the AEO scheme at its core.

Highly recognized by participants, this training helped foreign economic and trade enterprises better learn and apply RCEP rules, especially relevant regulations on customs compliance and customs supervision, enhance trade compliance awareness, strengthen trade compliance capability, and raise trade compliance level.
