On the morning of Oct. 19th (local time), Beijing-Slovenia Economic and Trade Promotion Fair was held in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Zhang Yongming, Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, and Sonja Šmuc, General Manager of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS), signed an agreement on friendly cooperation at the fair. Yuan Kehua, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Slovenia, attended the signing ceremony and other events of the fair. Delegates of 17 Beijing-based companies and trade associations talked at the fair with those of over 20 Slovenian companies and investment and trade promotion institutions.
Mr. Zhang had a cordial talk with Ms. Šmuc, and both were interviewed by RTV Slovenia and other media agencies. They spoke highly of bilateral investment and trade cooperation in recent years, and looked deep into the role chambers of commerce could play in boosting SMEs.
So far, CCPIT Beijing has established friendly partnerships with 200 chambers of commerce or associations in 82 countries and regions.
