Ms. Lin Bin, Vice Chairwoman Meets with Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Asiri, Deputy Commercial Counselor of Saudi Arabian Embassy

In the morning of June 6, 2018, Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Asiri, Deputy Commercial Counselor of Saudi Arabian Embassy, visited CCPIT Beijing, and Ms. Lin Bin, Vice Chairwoman, held a friendly meeting with him and conducted in-depth exchanges on jointly promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia.

Ms. Lin Bin firstly extended her warm welcome to Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Asiri and briefed him on the basic information and institutional functions of CCPIT Beijing. Ms. Lin Bin mentioned that China will hold the first China International Import and Export Expo in Shanghai in November this year and welcome companies of Saudi Arabia to participate in the Expo with high-quality products.

Then Ms. Lin Bin introduced to Saudi Arabia that China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) is a national event for global discussions and exchanges on science and technology approved by the State Council, hosted by Ministry of Science and Technology, CCPIT, State Intellectual Property Office, and Beijing Municipal Government, and organized by CCPIT Beijing Branch. Meanwhile, China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE) is a national platform in Beijing for global demonstration, communication and cooperation on cultural and creative industry with the unique advantage of the capital of the Chinese government as a national cultural center, technological innovation center and international exchanges center in accelerating the development of the cultural industry and promoting the construction of a culturally strong country. With these significant advantages of both platforms, more and more companies have expressed their intentions to attend these exhibitions and companies of Saudi Arabia are also expected.

Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Asiri stated that Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to the first China International Import and Export Expo to be held in November this year. The Saudi Arabian Export and Trade Bureau has started preparations and will participate in the Expo. Moreover, as CHITEC and ICCIE are high-quality platforms as well, companies of Saudi Arabia are also welcomed to participate in.

Afterwards, Mr. Lin Hai, Director of CCPIT Beijing Business Information Center, briefed Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Asiri on the two projects provided by the Information Center to service companies. In terms of the first project, the Information Center is able to design and print Saudi Arabian Investment Handbooks for the Embassy to facilitate Chinese enterprises to have a more understanding of Saudi Arabia's policies on investments. The second project is related to the trial run of “eShow”, an online exhibition and cross-border marketing platform, which is committed to establish an open cooperation platform for enterprises’ participation in the Expo and marketing by leveraging on the unique attributes of the Internet in order to facilitate the sales exhibition of companies from both China and Saudi Arabia. Both projects are free for Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Asiri said that these two projects are feasible and the Saudi Commercial Office would like to actively cooperate to deepen the market information exchanges between companies from China and Saudi Arabia. In the end, he shared his enjoyment to meet with Ms. Lin and takes this opportunity to deepen the cooperation and friendship between the two sides. He extended gratitude to Ms. Lin and the Information Center for their help with Saudi Commercial Office for the past few years, and hoped that the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges in the future to promote sound economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
