On the morning of Oct. 27th, the “Cultural Enterprises: From Jing-Jin-Ji to the World” Policy and Practice Exchange was co-organized by CCPIT Beijing, Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, CCPIT Tianjin, China Chamber of International Commerce, Beijing International Economic and Technical Cooperation Association, Capital Cultural Industry Association, Beijing Association for Trade in Services, Beijing Trade Association for Performances, Beijing Arts & Crafts Association, Beijing International Convention & Exhibition Industry Association, and Beijing Animation & Game Industry Alliance. Over 120 delegates from the co-organizers and their member entities attended. The meeting was presided over by Lin Bin, Vice Chairman of CCPIT.
Ma Yide, Deputy Director and Researcher of State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and Han Lixin, Head of “Happy Chinese New Year” Office of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture (MOC), elaborated respectively on “globalizing cultural industry and IP protection” and “MOC’s platform for cultural enterprises to ‘go global’”. Mr. Ma made an in-depth analysis on the achievements and challenges of China’s globalizing cultural industry, and offered advice on how to make up for the weak points, promote indigenous innovation, vigorously develop and protect IPs, and build cultural brands with international influence.
Mr. Han’s speech focused on MOC’s projects for overseas cultural promotion. He introduced the status quo of “Happy Chinese New Year” Office, China Cultural Centers Overseas, National Bases for International Culture Trade, and Chinese Cultural Products International Marketing Conference, and expressed the hope that cultural enterprises in Jing-Jin-Ji cluster will harness MOC’s platform to expand overseas markets.
In the afternoon, delegates attended the “International Culture Trade Policies and Enterprise Promotion” and “Exchange on International Cooperation on International Promotion of Chinese Culture”. The informative meetings, covering policy interpretation, introduction of practices, and platform promotion, serve as a platform for local cultural industry and enterprises to unleash their advantages and resources and make their brands more visible to the world.
