Northern Exhibition Alliance Meeting and China· Hailar the 11th China-Russia-Mongolia Economic and Trade Fair and Commodities Sales Exhibition Opened

The Seventh Meeting of Northern Exhibition Alliance under the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was held in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on June 27-29, 2015. This event attracted more than seventy participants from the CCPIT, the CCPIT Commercial Sub-Council, the CCPIT Machinery Sub-Council, the CCPIT’s sub-councils of eleven provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities) including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Shandong and Ningxia, the CCPIT’s sub-councils in thirteen cities including Hohhot, Baotou, Hulunbuir, Shenyang, Dalian, Harbin, Daqing, Jingdezhen, Jinan, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Nanning and Haikou, Magazine of Dalian Chamber of International Commerce , Hong Kong (International) Exhibition Trade Group, Meorient International Exhibition Co., Ltd., CIEC Exhibition Co., Ltd., and Harbin Zhongxin Weiye Exhibition Co., Ltd.

Focusing on Beijing’s functional positioning as “a host city of international events”,  delegates from the CCPIT Beijing Sub-Council delivered a speech on fully utilizing the role of foreign trade service institutions and exhibition sector as promoter, regulator and coordinator to better serve the strategies of “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Regional Integration Development” and “One Road and One Belt”. The speaker briefed on the status quo and trend of Beijing’s conference and exhibition industry and elaborated corresponding plans as follows. First, to act as a bridge  to boost development of conference and exhibition industry. Second, to deepen the cooperation mechanism across multiple areas to provide better service for conference and exhibition companies. Third, to develop the overseas exhibition platform to help enterprises explore foreign market. Fourth, to continue organizing brand exhibitions to promote transformation and upgrading of exhibitions.

At this meeting, the delegates discussed around the topic of the “integration of resources, complementary advantages, practical innovation and common development”. A seminar was also organized on the implementation of the Several Opinions of the State Council on Further Promoting the Reform and Development of Exhibition Industry (Guo Fa [2015] 15).
