Dubai Holdings Group is the largest multi-national enterprise in Dubai with more than 50 subsidiaries in 13 sectors including real estate, IT, media, telecommunications, education and energy.
TECOM is the biggest subsidiary under the Group with the current priority business in 7 free trade and development zones construction including biology, media products, renewable energy, education and IT. TECOM has a branch office in China’s ShenZhen. TECOM’s chief representative in China visited Beijing in March 2009 and reached an intent of further cooperation with Beijing World Trade Center. According to the intent, the two sides would organize delegations to visit each other, participate in each other’s exhibitions, stage Dubai promotion meetings in Beijing and help with Dubai’s business expansion in Beijing.
Another aim of the delegation’s visit was to engage extensively with Beijing’s online game companies, collaborating on expanding online games business in the Middle East. With the help of Beijing World Trade Center, Beijing Multi-Media Association, Kingsoft etc. had held talks with TECOM and established business relations with it.
