Hong Kong Trade Development Council in Beijing

CCPIT Beijing Vice Chair Mr. NI YueGang met with a delegation headed by Hong Kong Trade Development Council and north eastern region representative Mr. CHEN HaiJin 31 July 2009. The two sides held in-depth exchange and discussions on further cooperation between CCPIT Beijing and Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Mr. NI specially introduced the 4th edition of the cultural and creative industry expo which was under intense preparation. It was a major convention and exhibition event of Beijing, one of the three cultural industry expos of China. He said cultural and creative industry is importantly positioned in the ancient cultural capital, an industry that enjoys preferential policy, and thus promises tremendous commercial opportunity. Mr. NI hoped Hong Kong Trade Development Council would take the expo as a platform, organize Hong Kong enterprises to participate in the exhibition, business talks and promotional activities. He also warmly invited Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Film Bureau Chair Mr. SU ZeGuang to attend the event as guest speaker.

Mr. CHEN said that cultural and creative industry represents the development direction of emerging industries and Hong Kong government places emphasis on it and has specially established a cultural and creative office in this past June for promotion and guidance of relevant work. He said he would facilitate with Mr. Su’s attending the event as a guest speaker and would coordinate as soon as possible with Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and television for a large scale film show at the event; at the same time, ha said Hong Kong Trade Development Council would promote the expo to Hong Kong’s chamber of commerce and enterprises in Beijing and would organize Hong Kong enterprises to participate in the event.
