CCPIT Chair Mr. WAN JiFei met with the C-5 (namely the city of London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow and Beijing) delegation 9 April 2010. The 5 parties exchanged ideas on chamber of commerce operation, tackling new challenges together, offering better service to SMEs.
Chair WAN expressed his welcome of the delegation’s coming to China to participate in the C-5 Meeting, commended that all chambers of commerce were old friends of CCPIT, and the cooperation between chambers of commerce played a role of bridge in promoting economic and trade exchange and cooperation among the 5 cities. Chair WAN pointed out that Beijing and 4 other cities were all actively involved in the staging of the Olympic Games and the World Expo, and there were many things that were worth learning and lessons drawing. He also introduced the industrial adjustment direction of Beijing and the three major industries - innovation, high-tech and service. Chair WAN stressed that chambers of commerce of all countries should enhance cooperation and exchange between SMEs, offer two-way service to enterprises, offer service to foreign enterprises in their exploring of the market in China while serving national enterprises to go global.
