On the afternoon of May 7, Chairwoman XIONG Jiuling met the delegation led by Mr. Ozkan, Governor of Chucky and Director of North Anatolian Development Department.
Chairwoman XIONG expressed warm welcome to the visit of Mr. Ozkan and others, introduced the features and functions of CCPIT Beijing and BCIC and the state-level exhibitions like CHITEC and ICCIE, and invited North Anatolian Development Department to attend the coming 15th CHITEC. Mrs. XIONG also introduced the CCPIT Beijing’s participation situations in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Expo 2010 Shanghai.
Mr. Ozkan firstly expressed his appreciation to the CCPIT Beijing for warm reception, stated that China and Turkey had established diplomatic relations for 40 years, and seen a rapid growth in all fields, especially in economic trade, and hoped the mutual cooperation would serve Chinese and Turkish enterprises. Mr. Ozkan and officials of North Anatolian Development Department introduced the advantageous industries (forestry, wood processing, tourism, mining and shipbuilding), resource characteristics, investment environment and preferential policies in Chucky, Kastamonu and Sinop in North Anatolia. Particularly, the Turkish side hoped to have the assistance of CCPIT Beijing in terms of bus transformation and new energy technology. Lastly, Mr. Ozkan invited the CCPIT Beijing to visit North Anatolia at appropriate time.
Mrs. XIONG stated that new energy is the important part of Beijing’s “Twelfth Five-Year” Plan and the main concern of the CHITECH. The CCPIT Beijing will contact related departments to put cooperation matters into practice.
The North Anatolian Development Department was founded in July 2009 and headquartered in Kastamonu. It functions include: coordinating regional development, formulating regional development strategies, improving regional competiveness and shortening development gas within and across regions.
Deputy Chaiman LIU Yang and Mrs. Sara, commercial counselor of Turkish Embassy in China, were present at the meeting.
